Son travail s’oriente essentiellement vers la notion de liquidité en explorant la propriété physique des matériaux.

Tous les matériaux peuvent s'unir grâce à l'état aqueux.

Burel utilise comme base de son travail, la glycérophtalique, une peinture fluide, industrielle, solvant à l'huile, peinture dit de bâtiment vouée le plus souvent à être jetée (fin de chantier, débarras de maison, fond de cave...) mais aussi de solvants à base d'eau. Sa démarche étant de toujours trouver le juste équilibre entre les différents solvants qu'elle mixe entre eux. Elle utilise aussi le béton, l'enduit, le mortier, le vernis polyuréthane ... : elle est dans le réemploi et la valorisation des matériaux. Ce qui la place dans les artistes engagées dans la cause environnementale et, plus précisément, dans le développement durable. 

Son approche questionne le positionnement humain d'un point de vue philosophique voir spirituel de la Matière car, l'Homme constitué de matière et de plus de 65 % d'eau répond à cette incroyable métamophose d'assimilation des substances. 

Ses différentes collections suivent l'idée de formes originelles liées à la matière par le pouvoir puissant de l'élément EAU.

De l'infiniment petit à l'infiniment grand, les mêmes structures se forment et se répètent, aussi bien dans la nature humaine que celle de notre planète, ne constituant qu'une seule et même unité. 

Dans ORIGINES, est-ce la Terre ? Un œil ? Une rétine ? Un atome ? Un soleil ?

Burel uses glycerophthalics as the basis for his work, a fluid, industrial, oil-based paint, a so-called building paint most often destined to be thrown away (end of construction, house clearance, cellar, etc.) but also water-based solvents. Her approach is to always find the right balance between the different solvents that she mixes together. It also uses concrete, coating, mortar, polyurethane varnish, etc.: it is in the reuse and recovery of materials. Which places her among artists committed to the environmental cause and, more precisely, to sustainable development.

His approach questions the human positioning of Matter from a philosophical or even spiritual point of view because Man, made up of matter and more than 65% water, responds to this incredible metamorphosis of assimilation of substances.
